Setting The BEST Thanksgiving Dinner Table

Paige

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year – why? For me it’s like Christmas without the gifts. It’s a chance to have all of your loved ones together in the one space, share a meal and really celebrate love and gratitude and appreciate the little things in your life that make it whole. For me that’s my loved ones!  Your present is your presence! That’s the best gift of all.

Because I was a party planner for so many years I am usually the “go-to” host for every holiday and I go all-out when it comes to styling a party for my guests. Your Thanksgiving Table is the most important part of your celebrations. It’s where you gather together to break bread and share a meal and holiday cheer with your nearest and dearest.

The table sets the tone, theme and feeling of festivity for your party. I always like to switch it up a little to stay current with style and trends while keeping a certain element of tradition. Who doesn’t love tradition?

This year I have chosen to set the scene and my Thanksgiving Table with a ‘Luxury Festive Fall Tablescape’. Think rich textures and colors, golds, beautiful floral centrepieces and of course a touch of the traditional pumpkin and fall color with a modern twist. The BEST part about this theme is that I have chosen pieces that can all be re-purposed for the Christmas Holidays. All you need to do is switch out the pumpkins for holly and change out your place cards which is super simple. Here is how!

insta-image-tablescapeI made these Thanksgiving place cards with just a gold binder clip and card stock. I hand wrote each of my guests names on the front of the card and something I LOVE and APPRECIATE about them on the back. If you don’t have the best hand writing you can print these out, but I like the personal touch of a handwritten note. Then next dinner party, unclip, reprint and switch them out. It’s that simple!
