Holiday Stone Decor

Paige

This was one of the most adorable and fun DIY’s I have done in a long time. Mostly because I got to call on the skills of my Mama’s bestie since college. Carol visits my Mom from Lake Geneva every year and she is an incredible artist, so naturally I enlisted her help for this DIY. What I love about this DIY though is that you don’t actually have to be an amazing artist. This is something that you could do with the whole family. Get the kiddo’s involved and let their creativity be their only limit. Pull out the pipe cleaners, glue and googly eyes. Heck! Grab the whole craft box, throw on a Hallmark Christmas movie and get crafting! Here is how I got started with my own rock art but honestly, like I said, it’s completely up to you and your creativity. Use your imagination. Go Wild.

You Will Need:

  • Acrylic paint for the fence
  • Paint Pens
  • Tongue Depressors
  • Paintable Stones
  • Birch Branches (available online)
  • Hot glue
  • Scissors
  • 6″ x 6″ square frame (Discard glass)

How-To:

1. Lay out your design on foam within the dimensions of the matte.

2. Paint the fence with acrylic paint.

3. Glue fence onto foam core.

4. Paint faces on stones.

5. Add noses.

6. Glue down flat stones.

7. Add branches.
