DIY Kitchen Island

This custom made piece is refurbished from an old unused and broken console table, some vintage boxes and some good old fashioned wood working magic! Repurpose your old furniture into new and usable everyday pieces like this Kitchen Island. Don’t be afraid … it might look complicated but I guarantee you it is so simple and easy for you to do at home that you will want to build all of the furniture for your home once you are done!
You Will Need:
  • Materials
  • Console or coffee table
  • 4 X 4 wood
  • Plywood
  • Galvanized pipe
  • Screws

How To:

1. Saw legs off table

2. Cut wood to size for new legs

3. Screw legs on

4. Cut plywood for shelves

5. Attach shelves

6. Cut plywood for counter top S

7. Attach counter top

8. Sand and paint

9. Attach towel rail
