Summer is sailing on by and to help bring a nautical theme to you decor and all of those outdoor Summer experiences indoors I have a DIY that is perfect to hold and display all of your holiday keepsakes. Here is how to get started
You Will Need:
- Medium Density Fiberboard
- Jigsaw
- Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
- Tin Snips
- Rope
- Glue
- Finished Boat
- Craft Wood
- Glue
- Finished Boat
- Floral Foam
- Faux Plants
- ½ Inch Craft Dowel
- Fabric
- Wooden Utensil
- Hemp
How-To:
DIY BOAT
1. Download the PDF template and trace out the boat on the medium density fiberboard.
2. Cut out the boat.
3. Snip off the ends of the jumbo popsicle sticks.
4. Glue around the boat.
5. Add rope around the top of the popsicle sticks.
DIY BOAT SHELF
1. Create shelves out of craft wood.
2. Glue onto boat.
DIY BOAT CENTERPIECE
1. Cut floral foam to fit into boat.
2. Create a mast out of craft dowel and fabric.
3. Place in the center of floral foam.
4. Add plants.
5. Wrap hemp around to handle of wooden utensil.
6. Rest by the side of the boat like an ore.
