Growing up in Australia, we never celebrated the holiday of Halloween. I missed out on the spooky costumes, the kooky pumpkin carving and yep … sad but true, even the trick or treating. It’s shocking I know!
What I did look forward to every year was the cycle of films that were released right around Halloween time … those spooky, creepy, family friendly-ISH movies that celebrated all things hauntingly good.
My top five favourite Halloween movies of all time are ones that I grew up with. Tonight, the night before Halloween and in preparation for all things spooky tomorrow I decided to have a pyjama party and Halloween Movie Marathon. Break out the popcorn and pumpkin pie! Here is whats on my watch list.
Watch with the whole family …
- Hocus Pocus
- Beetlejuice
- The Addams Family
- The Addams Family Values
- Casper
For when the kids go to bed …
- Death comes Her
- The Witches of Eastwick
- Practical Magic
If you grew up in the 90s like me, prepare to get all nostalgic.
Happy Haunting!
