DIY Boho Boots

Paige

Since we are transitioning from Summer to Fall, our footwear needs to transition as well. Put away those sandals and get out those boots! You will want to protect your feet from the elements, and boots are a great way to do that.

Designer boots with embellishments are really in this season but they are also really expensive. Even if you want a new style but don’t have a big budget, this is a way that you can jazz up your own old boots you have at home, and give them a new style for Autumn.

Mark Steines and Cristina Ferrare talk with actress, Sanaa Lathan, about her new film “The Perfect Guy.” From the new TNT series “Public Morals”, actress, Lyndon Smith joins us! TV host and award-winning chef, Chef John Besh makes a delicious New Orleans recipe from his latest book “Besh Big Easy: 101 Home Cooked New Orleans Recipes.” Laura Nativo explains what pet carrier is best for your cat. Cristina makes a delicious Italian dish! Lawrence Zarian gives us his top 5 fashion trends for the Fall! Paige Hemmis shows you how to turn a pair of cowboy boots into a trendy fashion statement!

You Will Need:
  • Either buy inexpensive boots/booties or grab an old pair you have at home (Distressed look is in!)
  • Buy any embellishments that you would like to add to your boots.
  • Buy any embellishments that you would like to add to your boots. (Belts, lace, beads, feathers)
  • Glue (can use hot glue gun and/or gorilla glue)
  • Scissors
  • Any embellishment tool to help you attach your fun things (I will be using a pro-rotary leather puncher)

How To:

  1. Pick your boot
  2. Decide what belts, feathers, material, etc. you want to use
  3. Figure out how you want to arrange your various embellishments (Belts, bracelets, feathers, lace, beads, etc.)
  4. Glue or use tool to attach the embellishments. For belts and bracelets, wrap around boot and fasten/tie into place.
  5. Let dry

Use your imagination! The possibilities are endless.

XOXO,

Paige
