DIY Seasonal HOME Sign

Paige

This seasonal HOME sign is the perfect addition to your home décor any time of year. Switch out the ‘O’ for a seasonal statement piece, and this decoration continues to evolve all year. Whether it’s a love heart for Valentine’s Day, a pumpkin for the fall, a snowflake for the winter, or a gift for the Christmas season, this HOME sign is a simple way to decorate for every special time of year. Plus, you will look like you are super on trend!

Instead of switching out an entire scene for each season, this allows you to add one small piece to your décor to change it! You’ll save time, money and look stylish all year round.

So here’s how it works! The H, M, and E are made out of paper mache.  These are your anchors that will stay with you all year round. The “O” will be your change out piece.  Keep in mind that you can do this with any word… so if you are the “Smith” family for instance, you can change out the “I” for something seasonal.  The word is up to you.  Since I created this for our “HOME and FAMILY” house, I used these words.

You Will Need:

  • Paper mache letters for HOME (or the word of your choice)
  • Paint
  • Paint brush
  • Craft paper
  • Hot glue gun
  • Assorted wooden shapes and symbols
  • Decorative adornments

How To:

  1. Paint your HOME letters.
  2. Choose your Seasonal Switch outs and decorate to your liking.
  3. Switch out the appropriate seasonal piece with the ‘O’ and show of your stylish HOME sign.
