DIY Family History Tablescape

Paige

With Thanksgiving right around the corner Ken Winged and I teamed up to create this gorgeous DIY Family History Tablsecape. Here’s how you can too!

You Will Need:

Materials for Photos
  • Photos
  • Foam Core
  • Scissors
  • Spray Adhesive
Materials for Centerpiece Tree
  • Spray Adhesive
  • Drill
  • Fake Branches
  • Brown Card Stock
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Ribbon

How-To:

Directions for Photos

1. Set table with acrylic coated tablecloth, silverware, brass candles, pomegranate, nuts

2. Print out photos on regular or photo paper

Tip: If you want the display to have a vintage feel, print photos in sepia tone

3. Cut foam core to be a little bit larger than photo

4. Attach photo to foam core using spray adhesive

5. Trim edges of foam core

6. On the back of the foam core, write the person’s name and the year the photo was taken
(Optional: Include a story or fact about the person so that memories can be shared between
generations of family and friends)

7. Arrange photos around the centerpiece in the middle of the table

Directions for Centerpiece

1. Remove the stem of you foam pumpkin and drill a hole in the top

2. Gather enough faux branches to fit into the hole that you have made (make sure it has a snug fit so that the branches don’t fall)

3. Use ribbon and hot glue to hold the branches together and give it a decorative look

4. Use a leaf punch and brown card stock to make your leaves

5. Write names of family and friends inside of leaves (you can also print if you prefer)

6. Use hot glue to attach leaves to tree
